Necromancy

The skill Kryos was built around. You take souls from the things you kill, and those souls come back to fight beside you. Train it and the roster grows from a cow to a Brutal Black Dragon.

How it works

  • Monsters drop souls. Using one unlocks that familiar for good.
  • A soul you already own does nothing — there is no point hoarding duplicates.
  • Unlocked familiars go into a loadout of five slots.
  • A Summoning Stone, charged in advance, calls the whole loadout out at once.

Unlocking a familiar and being able to use it are two different things. Every familiar has a Necromancy level behind it, and the level is checked twice: once when you put it in a slot, and again when you summon.

The Summoning Stone

The stone holds two currencies at once: coins and soul shards. You charge it at a fixed ratio of 250 coins and 1 soul shard per unit, and summoning draws from both pools. What a loadout costs depends on the tier of each familiar in it.

TierCoinsSoul shards
Early50,000200
Mid150,000500
Late300,0001,000

Costs are per familiar, so a full loadout of five late-tier familiars is a serious bill every time you call them. Charge the stone before you go out, not while something is hitting you.

Prestiging Necromancy empties your loadout, because the levels that justified those slots are gone. Your unlocked souls are permanent and survive the reset — you only have to train back to the levels, not hunt the souls again.
